Discover Ontario ~ Community of Angus

Ontario Visited is dedicated to discovering and exploring Ontario Communities, their events and their residents.

Our DISCOVER ONTARIO video series takes visitors along with us as we learn more about the communities and events we experience. Each video and post include an “interesting” fact about the community or event we visited. See if you can guess the right answer!

This week’s video features the Community of Angus, located in Simcoe County.  Angus is now part of the Community of Essa.

CFB Borden abuts Angus and forms a large part of the community. Angus is also home to an amazing “Peacekeepers Park”. The whole community is a tribute to Canada’s role in World Peacekeeping and in the United Nations.

Who was the town named after?

ANSWER? Angus Morrison, Johnathon Angus, Angus MacDonald, Hamish Angus
