Discover Ontario ~ Community of Grand Bend

Ontario Visited is dedicated to discovering and exploring Ontario Communities, their events and their residents.

Our DISCOVER ONTARIO video series takes visitors along with us as we learn more about the communities and events we experience. Each video and post include an “interesting” fact about the community or event we visited. See if you can guess the right answer!

I had heard a lot about Grand Bend from friends, but I had never been there. A planned trip to Sarnia gave us the opportunity to visit the town.

Everything that I had heard about Grand Bend was true. It reminded me of other resort towns that I had visited, White Rock in British Columbia and St. Lauderdale in Florida.

Grand Bend has all the fun things you’d like when vacating, a beautiful Lake (Lake Huron), a great sandy beach and lots of fun shops.

If you’re looking for a fun place for you and your family to visit, go to Ontario’s West Coast and the village of Grand Bend!

This video vignette features tour the town and then ask a FUN question. Enjoy the video and, when you can, go out and discover Grand Bend and all that it offers!

In the 1830’s, what was Grand Bend’s original name?
