Sun Life Waterloo Busker Carnival 2024 is with Satya Bella!

Our seventh performer this year is… SATYA BELLA. Immerse yourself in the vibrant and non-stop energy of Satya’s interactive circle show! Skillfully spinning hoops of various sizes to an upbeat soundtrack, her performance is a playful ode to all things circular—because, after all, love makes the world go ’round. Satya is the only woman in the world who can perform hula hoop on fire while spinning within a Cyr wheel at the exact same time!
Having virtually circled the globe, Satya has captivated audiences in over 42 countries, from the exotic landscapes of Turkmenistan to the bustling streets of Beirut and beyond to Mexico.
Prepare to be amazed as this master of hoop manipulation takes you on a mesmerizing journey through her art. Stand back and enjoy the show!
Stay tuned each week as we announce more performers for this year’s carnival! #wbuskers

Waterloo Busker Carnival

A Visual Chronicle of Our History

The spirit, spontaneity and creative energy of the Busker Carnival is captured each year by world-renown illustrator Sue Todd who currently resides in Toronto, Ontario. Her artwork sets the tone for each year’s distinct performers with no two pieces or years being exactly alike. When viewed together, Sue’s artwork over the years offers a consistent visual narrative of our history.

Sue’s work was first featured on the 1995 cover of the Carnival program and continues to be a main feature each year. Sue notes a special fondness for Waterloo where she met her husband.
