Kingston Grand Theatre Announces 2026-27 Season Kickoff

The Kingston Grand Theatre is preparing to announce its upcoming lineup of live performances for the 2026-27 season. Residents are invited to attend a public launch event on May 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. to learn more about the schedule and secure tickets for the upcoming year.

The event will be held in the Regina Rosen Auditorium, located at 218 Princess Street in downtown Kingston, Ontario. The evening will feature appearances by special guests Shakura S’Aida and James Keelaghan. Attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments provided by Pan Chancho, which serves as a performance sponsor.

This annual program, known as Grand OnStage, is operated by the City of Kingston through its Cultural Services Department. It offers a variety of performances in dance, theatre, music, comedy, and circus from fall through spring, featuring both Canadian and international talent. The 2026-27 season also welcomes Van Herpt Auto Group as a new sponsor.

The venue is a historic site in the community, with origins dating back to 1902. Today, it serves as the home of the Kingston Symphony and acts as a central hub for professional and amateur arts in the region. The theatre operates two main spaces: the Regina Rosen Auditorium, which seats up to 755 people, and the more intimate Homestead Baby Grand Theatre.

Performing Arts Manager Jayson Duggan and theatre manager Jamie Edwards encourage community members to register for the launch event online. The program is supported by various partners, including Canadian Heritage, the Canada Council for the Arts, and the Ontario Arts Council.
