Ontario investing in nine festivals and events in the region
Nine festivals and events in our region are benefitting from nearly $260,000 in provincial funding.
Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MPP Steve Clark made the announcement Friday afternoon with the money coming from the 2026 Experience Ontario program.
Among those that will get a cash infusion are Kemptville Buskerfest which will receive $20,000 and the St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival in Prescott which will get close to $43,000.
Clark says in a media release that the funds will help municipalities and event organizers deliver high-quality programming and experiences for people of all ages.
“Festivals and events help bring our communities to life while supporting local economies across the province,” said MPP Clark. “I’m pleased our government is investing in organizers who are creating unique experiences, connecting people, and generating jobs and opportunity.”
In total, Experience Ontario 2026 is supporting nearly 400 festivals and events of all sizes across the province.
