Grey Highlands rodeo event gets $20K in provincial funding

Some of the biggest events in Bruce and Grey counties will be receiving provincial support

The Grey Highlands RAM rodeo event has secured provincial funding for 2026.

On May 4, Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Paul Vickers announced that a number of local events will receive $267,100 through the 2026 Experience Ontario program.

Some of the biggest events in Bruce and Grey counties will be receiving provincial support. The RAM rodeo event held in Feversham on May 23 and 24 will receive $20,000.

Vickers announced that the provincial government is investing to support seven festivals and events this year in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound. This is part of a more than $20 million government investment to help event organizers deliver high-quality programming and experiences for people of all ages.

It is hard to beat summertime in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, because our community comes together for some truly remarkable events,” said Vickers. “I am proud to share that our government sees the positive impact these events have in our communities, and that we are stepping up with support for these hardworking organizers.”

Vickers announced that the following local events are receiving financial support:

Sauble Beach Party – Sauble Beach – $125,000

Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance – Kemble – $55,000

Grey Highlands RAM Rodeo – Feversham – $20,000

Owen Sound Canada Day Festival – Owen Sound – $20,000

Electric Eclectics Festival – Meaford – $20,000

Sweetwater Music Festival – Piano Spectacular – Owen Sound – $20,000

Hopeville Kite Festival – Hopeville – $7,100
