Westfield Heritage Village Welcomes Visitors Back with Hands-On History and New Digital Experiences
Westfield Heritage Village is opening its gates for another exciting season of history, hands-on experiences, and outdoor exploration beginning this Victoria Day weekend. Visitors are invited to explore the historic village every Sunday and holiday from 12 PM to 4 PM through October.
Each Sunday and holiday throughout the season will feature a unique theme, family-friendly activities, and hands-on crafts that bring history to life for visitors of all ages. From seasonal celebrations and
demonstrations to interactive experiences with historical interpreters, no two visits are ever quite the same.
New! Virtual Tour
This season also introduces a new way for visitors to explore the village through an enhanced digital experience. New signage installed throughout the historic buildings will feature QR codes that link
guests directly to the village’s 360-degree virtual tour. Visitors can scan codes on their mobile devices to learn more about 14 buildings, uncover historical details, and explore hidden artifacts and stories.
Talking Forest Trail App Expanded
A new tour experience has been added to the Talking Forest trail app at Westfield, featuring the historic buildings. This new experience will guide visitors through the village, automatically activating audio stories, images, and captions using GPS that tell the stories of Westfield’s historic buildings.
Visitors can also enjoy the existing tour experience that features Westfield’s trails.
