‘Community pride’ will be on display during the Ninth Annual Summer Festival at the Dowling Leisure Centre
A weekend of family fun is slated to hit the Dowling Leisure Centre June 20-21, during the Ninth Annual Summer Fest.
The Onaping Falls Recreation Committee is organizing the event, and noted in a media event that the event, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days, “promises fun for all ages.”
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the event will include an inflatable obstacle course, bounce house, carnival games, Talon and Bark Falconry, Go-at For A Walk goat petting zoo, face painting and more.
A full schedule of events is available by clicking here.
“Summer Fest is one of our favourite ways to bring families and neighbours together,” committee chair Carrie Morin said in a media release. “We’re proud to offer something for everyone and look forward to seeing our community come out and enjoy the weekend, rain or shine.”
Access to kids’ attractions is available with the purchase of a $5 activity bracelet each day. Entry to the event is $2 for adults and seniors each day, and children under two years of age get in for free.
The Vendor Marketplace will run both days from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. featuring a wide range of local products. There will also be food trucks, a penny table, and a car show.
To support accessibility and inclusion, a quiet hour will take place from 10-11 a.m.
