💔 They’ve lost more than their homes… they’ve lost certainty

“As wildfires continue to burn across Northwestern Ontario, families, livestock, and entire farming operations have been forced to evacuate.”

Ontario Agritourism shares this important message with you….

The Oliver Agricultural Society, Community Pasture, and the Hymers community have come together to help farmers affected by the wildfires.

Today:

🐄 281 head of cattle are being cared for at Community Pasture.
🐐 The Murillo Fairgrounds are sheltering more than 200 evacuated animals.
🐴 In total, over 400 evacuated animals are now being cared for across the Thunder Bay area—and that number continues to grow.

The family we are caring for came from Upsala, displaced by the Fort Frances 14 wildfire, which has remained out of control for more than a month. They arrived on July 14 and are still living at the Murillo Fairgrounds alongside their animals.

In just 8 days, the Murillo Fair begins—but the evacuee family will still be there, waiting and hoping they can one day return home.

Every donation helps provide food, water, veterinary care, bedding, and essential supplies for both the animals and the families affected by this disaster.
