A Woman’s Love List hits the stage this summer
Norm Foster, one of Canada’s most beloved playwrights whose comedies have delighted Lighthouse Festival audiences for years, is back with another laugh-out-loud comedy. Audiences may recognize Foster as the writer of favourites such as Halfway There, Come Down From Up River, A Pack of Thieves, and Doris and Ivy in the Home.
His latest comedy begins with a question many of us have wondered at some point: what if you could create the perfect partner?
In A Woman’s Love List, Megan and Carly write down every quality they think the ideal man should have. To their surprise, Blaze Wilson appears. The problem? Perfection turns out to be a moving target. Every time they tweak the list, Blaze changes too, becoming someone entirely different before their eyes.
What follows is a whirlwind of rapid-fire dialogue, hilarious misunderstandings, and enough romantic chaos to keep everyone guessing. But beneath the laughs, Foster delivers a surprisingly relatable look at modern relationships and the impossible standards we sometimes set for ourselves and others.
With performances just around the corner, now is the perfect time to secure your seats.
