All Bets Are On: Guys and Dolls Launches at the Stratford Festival
Stratford, ON… Place your bets and roll the dice! From the electric streets of New York City to the sultry rhythms of Havana, the Stratford Festival ignites its 2026 season with the irresistible musical Guys and Dolls. Directed and choreographed by acclaimed theatre veteran Donna Feore, this high-spirited production stars Dan Chameroy as Sky Masterson, Jennifer Rider-Shaw as Miss Adelaide, Olivia Sinclair-Brisbane as Sarah Brown and Mark Uhre as Nathan Detroit, and features a score packed with Broadway favourites including “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat” and “A Bushel and a Peck.”
Amid the bright lights and hustle of Manhattan’s underground gambling scene, a smooth-talking gambler wagers he can charm a pious missionary, while another risks everything to keep his floating craps game alive and his fiancée from walking away. In a world where luck can turn on a dime, love proves the ultimate gamble, and the stakes are far greater than anyone imagined.
“Guys and Dolls offers a remarkably balanced view of the romantic transactions of this fabled Broadway bunch, and it does it with great joy and precision,” says Feore. “The show’s economy is startling. There is nothing extra or out of place. Every word, every note, every step earns its keep.”
Guys and Dolls also features Gabriel Antonacci as Benny Southstreet, and Steve Ross as Nicely-Nicely Johnson with Eric Abel, Michelle Bardach, Alex Batycki, Carla Bennett, Devon Michael Brown as Rusty Charlie, Wade Pierre Buller, Jacqueline Burtney, Jeremy Carver–James as Calvin, Juan Chioran as Big Jule, Jarret Cody, Nehassaiu deGannes as Lt. Brannigan, Christine Desjardins, Josh Doig, Starr Domingue as General Matilda Cartwright, Henry Firmston as Harry the Horse, Jordan Goodridge, Alexandra Gratton as Martha, Bonnie Jordan as Agatha, Alex Kelly as Joey Biltmore, Bethany Kovarik as Carmen, Jeff Lillico, Amanda Lundgren as Mimi, Gracie Mack, Anthony MacPherson, Jordan Mah as Angie the Ox, Chad McFadden as Hot Box MC, Jamie Murray, Stephen Patterson as Arvide Abernathy, Ali Powell, Brian Ross, Jason Sermonia and Zachary Williams.
Franklin Brasz joins as Music Director, marking his 17th season at the Stratford Festival. Feore and Brasz are joined by Set Designer Michael Gianfrancesco, Costume Designer Dana Osborne, Lighting Designer Bonnie Beecher and Sound Designer Haley Parcher.
Guys and Dolls officially opens on May 26 and runs until November 1 at the Festival Theatre. Tickets are available at stratfordfestival.ca or by calling 1.800.567.1600.
