A Living History Experience

Lang Pioneer Village Museum is not just a museum, it’s a living, breathing celebration of heritage. Open from May 20th through the end of the year, this open-air museum features more than 30 carefully restored and authentically furnished buildings, each offering a glimpse into settler life in 1800s Peterborough County. During peak seasons and special events, friendly and knowledgeable costumed interpreters bring the Village to life, demonstrating everything from blacksmithing and weaving to butter churning and schoolhouse lessons.
