Smiths Falls Heritage House 2026

Holiday Traditions Tour Dec 1 – Dec 20, 2026

Share in the sights, sounds and flavours of a traditional Canadian Christmas at the Smiths Falls Heritage House.  Guests will be offered a private tour of the Museum’s period rooms, decorated for the season, with a costumed guide, discovering holiday traditions in Eastern Ontario and their origins. Candlelit tour options are also available.  Admission is by donation. Pre-registration required.

Holiday Heritage House – December 6, 2026  1- 3 pm

Kick off the holiday season with everyone’s favourite Jolly old soul at the Smiths Falls Heritage House Museum. Guests will be offered tours of the Museum’s period rooms, decorated for the season, with costumed guides who will share the history of holiday traditions in Eastern Ontario and their origins. Enjoy the sounds of holiday music with a cup of tea or apple cider alongside a homemade seasonal dessert. Finish the afternoon off with a horse-drawn wagon ride.

Candlelit Christmas – December 10, 2026

Tour the beautifully lit and decorated Victorian Museum after hours at 11 Old Slys Road, Smiths Falls. Tour guides will be available in staggered time slots to lead guests through the museum and learn about Christmas traditions or go through self-guided and experience the museum by candlelight. Admission $10 per adult. Tours begin at 7:00 p.m.
