Roller skating in the square returns to Kitchener for Mondays

It isn’t the first time roller skating will take over Carl Zehr Square in Kitchener. Hosted by Retro Rollers, roller skating in the square was a weekly event in Kitchener throughout June and July.

Now making its return for September, anyone interested in roller skating is being invited to join in the community event.

It will be held every Monday night, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., and it is free to participate. Skate rentals will be available at the event for $12, while organizers are recommending that those interested bring socks, helmets and wrist guards.

A live DJ will also be present, bringing a live and active environment to the downtown Kitchener area. Organizers say that this event is welcoming to all levels of roller skaters, whether you are just starting out or an experienced skater.
