This holiday season, it’s up to you to help save Christmas! The elves at Santa’s Workshop have fallen behind, and only a train full of merry passengers can help bring back the Christmas Spirit.

Join us on the Merry Mission Dayliner, a festive 60-minute daytime train ride designed especially for families. This interactive experience features a Christmas-themed scavenger hunt with festive scratch cards and heartwarming ways to spread Christmas spirit.

Santa himself will join the ride to check in on our progress and spread some cheer of his own!

Perfect for young adventurers and the young-at-heart, this ride is a magical memory in the making.

Become a Merry Maker aboard the Christmas Cheerlight Charter!

Climb aboard the Christmas Cheerlight Charter, a spirited evening adventure where guests of all ages help restore the magic of the holidays by completing joyful challenges and collecting stamps in their Merry Mission Passport – all while enjoying our heritage Christmas train ride! Get ready for some lighthearted, fun, “Christmas Spirit Training”!

From heartfelt high-fives and cheerful waves to singing carols and sharing gratitude, you’ll earn your place as one of Santa’s Official Merry Makers.

This immersive journey includes a visit from Santa, festive music, and a special memento to commemorate your holiday mission.

Waterloo Central Railway is a heritage railway offering historic passenger train rides on the Waterloo Spur between Northfield Drive in Waterloo, the St. Jacobs Farmers’ Market, the village of St. Jacobs and town of Elmira. We are proudly operated by the Southern Ontario Locomotive Restoration Society (SOLRS), a not-for-profit, registered charitable organization. All ticket proceeds go to supporting operations and restoration programs that our volunteers complete at our Restoration and Maintenance Facility in St. Jacobs.
