World-class Chamber Music in Picton!
An Incredible New Season!
The Prince Edward County Chamber Music Festival is thrilled to announce our 2026 season: A Celebration of Strings — and we could not be more excited to share it with you!
Mark your calendars for two extraordinary weekends at St. Mary Magdalene Church in Picton:
📅 September 18–20 & October 2–4
Here’s just a taste of what’s in store:
⭐We are beyond honoured to welcome JAMES EHNES — one of Canada’s most celebrated violinists — for a very special recital. He’s also premiering a brand new work by this year’s Composer-in-Residence, Carmen Braden, an extraordinary Indigenous composer and singer-songwriter from Yellowknife.
🎼 The Gryphon Trio — one of Canada’s most celebrated chamber ensembles — opens the festival in style.
🎹 The Soloists of Les Violons du Roy bring breathtaking Baroque strings and basso continuo to the County.
🎻 The New Orford String Quartet returns — and we are SO happy to have them back!
🎤 The incomparable Caity Gyorgy — jazz vocalist extraordinaire who has wowed audiences everywhere — joins us with her trio for a very special evening.
🎷 Four Play Cello returns by popular demand, featuring our own Artistic Director Paul Marleyn alongside Festival Young Artist in Residence Jacob MacDonald.
🍂 Our season really kicks off even earlier with our annual outdoor concert at Macaulay Heritage Park on August 29, featuring The Sultans of String. The popular Yoga and Cello morning returns too!
This is a marvelous opportunity to hear world-class musical artists right here in Prince Edward County.
🎟️ BOOK YOUR TICKETS EARLY — especially for the James Ehnes recital. Demand is going to be high, and we’d hate for you to miss out. Trust us on this one, and we’ll see you there!
