Submissions are now open for our 10-Minute Play Series! This year, the Arts Festival 10-Minute Play Series is an approved festival under Canadian Actors’ Equity Association’s Festival Policy. To meet the guidelines, we’re introducing a lottery-style submission process for playwrights in our outdoor venues. The 10-Minute Play Series is a vibrant celebration of creativity, offering playwrights a unique platform to showcase their talent in a fast-paced, engaging format. Downtown Port Hope
In 2026, the Municipality of Port Hope will host its annual Port Hope Arts Festival on Saturday, August 8th. This festival is part of the larger Arts Month celebration in Port Hope, which encourages community engagement and participation in the arts throughout August. The festival itself will be an outdoor event in downtown Port Hope, featuring a variety of activities including a 10-Minute Play Series, Art Around Town, an outdoor vendor market, and a community gathering in the park.
