In the first festival, all the action took place on Victoria Street, a list of desired activities was established, and groups organized activities according to their areas of expertise.
OVER THE YEARS, THE FESTIVAL HAS GROWN AND IT IS NOW A 3-DAY EVENT THAT TAKES PLACE ON CHURCH STREET FAIRGROUNDS AND ELSEWHERE IN ALLISTON

The 2025 Alliston Potato Festival will run from August 8 to August 10, bringing three days of fun, entertainment, and community spirit to the region. 

Do you know a child who loves to sing?
The Alliston Potato Festival in partnership with Gibson School of the Arts is thrilled to be bringing you the Just Sing competition for 2025! If you know a talented young person aged 7 – 14 who would love to sing in front of a live audience, get feedback from professionals and get the amazing opportunity to perform on the main stage at the Alliston Potato Festival – then this is the contest for them! Did we mention there are prizes for the winner and runners up!?

We want to celebrate the talent in New Tecumseth and we can think of no better way than to search for the next winner of Just Sing!

Exciting news for parade enthusiasts and community supporters—the Alliston Potato Festival (APF) Parade registration forms are now available! This much-anticipated event, organized by the Rotary Club of Alliston, will take place at 7:00 PM on Friday, August 8, 2025, to officially kick off the festival weekend.
