Almonte Fair
“September 5 – 7, 2025 – “A Celebration of Rural Roots and Community Spirit!“
The 2025 Almonte Fair returns from September 5th to 7th, welcoming families, farmers, and fairgoers to three days of traditional country charm, competition, and entertainment. Organized by the North Lanark Agricultural Society, the fair brings the best of rural life to the heart of Almonte, combining agriculture, amusement, and community celebration in a way that has delighted generations.
Agricultural Showcases and Livestock Competitions
Agriculture remains at the core of the Almonte Fair. This year’s event features a full slate of Livestock Shows, including the popular Lanark County Holstein Show, Beef Cattle Show, and Sheep Show. These exhibitions provide an excellent opportunity for local producers and 4-H members to present their best stock, showcasing the strength and diversity of farming in the region.
Visitors can also enjoy the Light Horse Show, where skilled riders and beautiful horses demonstrate their agility and training in a variety of classes. Throughout the fairgrounds, Agricultural Exhibits and interactive agriculture education activities provide guests of all ages with hands-on learning experiences, from crops and farm equipment to the importance of sustainability in modern farming.
Homecrafts and Midway Excitement
The Homecraft Competitions return with a display of culinary creations, handicrafts, quilts, preserves, floral arrangements, and more. These entries are not only impressive to admire but serve as a tribute to the time-honored skills passed down through generations.
Just outside the exhibition hall, the Midway offers all the excitement and lights one expects from a classic fair. With rides for both thrill-seekers and little ones, and games of chance and skill, the midway is a must-visit attraction for families looking for fun and adventure.
Entertainment and Family Activities
Entertainment takes center stage at the Almonte Fair, with a weekend filled with Live Music and Live Entertainment acts. Local musicians and special guest performers will keep the fairgrounds alive with sound. The Beer Garden offers adults a spot to kick back, enjoy a cold drink, and soak up the festive atmosphere.
Children’s Activities will be happening all weekend long, with games, crafts, and fun designed to entertain younger visitors. There’s something for everyone, making it a perfect destination for families.
Motorsports Action and Tractor Pulls
The roar of engines will fill the air during the Demolition Derby, where brave drivers smash it out in a thrilling contest of steel and skill. For heavy-duty fans, the Truck and Tractor Pull delivers raw horsepower as machines compete to drag weighted sleds down the track.
