Hosted by the West Northumberland Curling Club, the event will see teams competing for provincial titles and the opportunity to represent Ontario at national championships.
The women’s champions will advance to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Thunder Bay from February 14 to 23, while the men’s winners will compete at the Brier in Kelowna from February 28 to March 9.
Organizing committee member Linda Laliberte tells us opening ceremonies on the 19th will be particularly noteworthy as Curling Ontario is celebrating 150 years in 2025
That team will include one of the most decorated curlers of all time Glen Howard, Five time Ontario champion Sherry Middaugh, her husband, Canadian Curling Hall of Famer Wayne Middaugh and four-time provincial champion Mary Shivers.
“We are honoured to host the 2025 Ontario Men’s and Women’s Provincial Championships,” said organizing committee members Linda Laliberte, Jeff Gilmer, and Ian Hartford. “We’re excited to deliver a first-class event that celebrates the sport and showcases the athletes’ incredible talent.”
