Community Rollout Event Week Capitol Theatre 2026

Four unique Community Rollout Events take place from April 20 to April 23. The On the Rock Gala takes place on April 25.

February 24, 2026 (Port Hope, ON) – Rob Kempson, Artistic Director of the Capitol Theatre Port Hope, has launched tickets for this year’s highly-anticipated Summer Season Rollout events, and the theatre’s major fundraising gala, themed On the Rock, a Newfoundland-style celebration, as a nod to this year’s mainstage production of Come From Away. For the gala, the entire building will be decked out in the sights and sounds of Canada’s favourite province, where guests will gather to enjoy live music, toast to the season ahead, and directly support Canadian artists. On the Rock is bound to be the event of the spring, with a live auction, and performances from The Fiddleheads, Seventh Town, and Melissa Payne. Whether dressed to the nines or in your fanciest sou’wester, everyone is welcome at this kitchen party!

The Capitol Theatre’s annual, multi-day community celebration provides vital support for the theatre, and the upcoming summer season: Where Our Stories Begin.
Said Kempson: “Our rollout events bring the spirit of our summer season productions out of the theatre and into our community. Inspired by this season’s upcoming productions, we have five amazing events on offer this year, with all proceeds going directly to the work you’ll see on stage. The incredible support each year at our annual rollout events enables us to develop and program high quality plays and concerts, including musicals like Come From Away, the inspiration for this year’s gala.”
