Do you have an event that promotes community spirit in Georgina? Here’s how the town can help

The Town of Georgina has opened up applications for grants and rebates to businesses, organizations and citizens who have events, programs or initiatives that enhance the community’s spirit.

The Town of Georgina is offering grants and rebates to support events, programs or initiatives that enhance the community’s spirit.

Businesses, community organizations and citizens that contribute to the town’s community spirit and offer ways to celebrate local culture and boost the economy can apply to receive grants and rebates from the town.

Applications opened May 26 and are for the following grant streams:

  • Community Betterment Grant — Build community or neighbourhood capacity
  • Community Culture Grant — Showcase Georgina’s creativity
  • Economic Development Grant — Create economic impact through events and initiatives

Applications must be submitted and approved before any work begins and multiple applications can be accepted for one project.

The deadline to apply is June 30.
