History of the Drayton Fair
The Drayton Mapleton Fair, located in Drayton, Ontario, is a longstanding agricultural event that has been celebrating the region’s farming heritage for over 167 years. Organized by the Drayton Mapleton Agricultural Society, the fair showcases local agriculture, livestock, and community spirit.
In recent years, the fair has experienced significant growth and success. The 2024 fair, for instance, achieved record-breaking attendance, attracting nearly 5,000 visitors over the weekend. Attendees enjoyed a variety of attractions, including jousting competitions, pet shows, tractor pulls, demolition derbies, and a range of exhibitors and vendors.
The fair continues to evolve, incorporating new events and activities to engage attendees of all ages. The 2025 Drayton Fair is scheduled for August 8-10, 2025, at the Drayton Fairgrounds, located at 49 Elm Street.
