TORONTO, ON. — Fresh off the Formula 1 Constructor’s Championship victory in Abu Dhabi, McLaren has announced it will be showcasing a winning lineup of supercars at the Canadian International AutoShow. There will be five McLarens on display, including a GTS, 750S, Artura, and two P1s, one of which is constructed in LEGO® bricks. 2025 will mark 13 years of McLaren participating in Canada’s largest automotive expo.
Recently joining the lineup as the replacement for the GT, the McLaren GTS balances supercar driving dynamics with daily usability and comfort. The twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8 churns out 626 hp and 465 lb-ft of torque. Boasting a 14-hp bump over its predecessor, it also offers less weight and a lower centre of gravity thanks in part to its carbon fibre roof. Other enhancements include styling tweaks to the bumpers, fenders and wheels, along with larger air vents to keep the mid-mounted engine cool. The interior receives updated seating, colour schemes and accents. The refreshed supercar is said to hustle from zero to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, hitting 200 km/h in just 8.9 seconds.
Introduced in 2023 as the successor to the award-winning 720S, the McLaren 750S channels McLaren’s racing heritage with a host of new updates for 2025, including a power upgrade and improved aerodynamics. 2025 also sees the introduction of new enhanced visualization and options though McLaren Special Operations (MSO), comprised of bespoke exterior details, paint colours and interior treatments. A new Stealth Badge package also joins the list of options, along with Carbon Fibre fender louvres. The new 750S is the lightest and most powerful production McLaren, weighing just 1,277 kg and boasting a twin-turbocharged 4.0L V8. Making 740 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque, helping it hustle from zero to 100 km/h in just 2.8 seconds.
A McLaren Artura will also be gracing the halls of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre this February. Remaining true to the British manufacturer’s roots, the supercar is outfitted with a ultra-compact 3.0L twin-turbocharged V6 and compact, lightweight AxialFlux E-motor and Carbon Fibre and accoutrements to save weight. Previously found in the rare, ultra-exclusive P1 which pioneered the technology, followed by the Speedtail Hyper-GT, the Artura is McLaren Automotive’s first series production high-performance hybrid supercar.
McLaren Automotive and The LEGO Group have collaborated to create a life-size LEGO® Technic version of the iconic P1 supercar. Consisting of an incredible 342,817 Technic elements, the LEGO® Technic McLaren P1 is the first big build the group has made that is capable of steering and driving an entire lap of a racetrack. McLaren Formula 1 Team driver, Lando Norris, puts the one-of-a-kind car to the ultimate test at the famed Silverstone Circuit. Completing a lap of his home circuit and host track of the British Grand Prix, Norris piloted the car around the challenging 5,891 km (3.66 mile) course.
Weighing 1,220 kg (2,690 lb), the build was brought to life by 23 specialists – including designers, engineers and builders from LEGO Group and McLaren Automotive. The project took 8,344 hours from design to completion, requiring the use of 393 different types of LEGO® Technic elements.

McLaren will have its primary new vehicle display on the 300 Level of the North Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. The McLaren and LEGO feature will be showcased on the 700 Level of the South Building. The LEGO display will be accompanied by a 6,000 sq. ft. Kids Play Zone and retail area, which have been popular features at past AutoShow exhibitions.
The 2025 Canadian International AutoShow, presented by Toronto Star, returns to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from February 14th to the 23rd. This year’s theme “Total Immersion” highlights the AutoShow’s unique position during a time of change in the automotive industry. Consumer choice has never been as vast and diverse as today. The AutoShow is the place for brands to showcase their newest products and technologies, allowing the opportunity to educate consumers about their brand. The Automotive Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) will reveal the winners of the prestigious Canadian Car of the Year Awards during the Media Day opening presentation, with participating brands expected to unveil many new products for the first-time ever in Canada.
General Admission tickets are available on the AutoShow’s website with the Early Bird ticket discount offering up to 25 percent off regular rates until Dec 31st. New ticketing options are also available, with reduced admission prices on opening Friday. A new special promotion offers tickets online at $20 (compared to $28 regular admission) for visitors coming after 5pm.
