Mississippi Mills Bicycle Movement is your source for information about all things two-wheeled in Mississippi Mills, Ontario (comprising the wards of Almonte, Pakenham, and Ramsay). Our town has been awarded Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly Community Status in Share the Road Cycling Coalition’s national award program!
Located just west of Ottawa, this area is known for its gorgeous natural scenery, quiet country roads, heritage architecture, and friendly small towns and villages. Our name comes from the beautiful Mississippi River that meanders through Almonte, Blakeney and Pakenham, and from the textile mills that formerly drove the local economy and have recently been transformed into stunning condos and retail spaces.
The goal of this volunteer-run site is to connect cyclists to local resources, and to promote events taking place during Mississippi Mills Bicycle Month, which occurs in June of each year.
