As always, the fair proudly showcases the best of rural living through a wide variety of Livestock Shows and Agricultural Displays. Local farmers and 4-H members will present their well-cared-for animals, offering fairgoers an up-close look at the dedication and expertise behind raising cattle, sheep, and more. This year’s fair is bursting with fun from start to finish. The Midway brings excitement with rides and games for thrill-seekers and little ones alike, while the ever-popular Demolition Derby returns to close out the weekend with roaring engines and crashing metal in an action-packed showdown.
New in 2025, the Unicycle Demo Duo will amaze audiences with jaw-dropping tricks, high-energy stunts, and plenty of audience interaction. Their thrilling performances are sure to be a hit with kids and adults alike!
The fair kicks off with the always-festive Parade, filling the streets of Mitchell with colourful floats, marching bands, vintage tractors, and smiling faces. It’s a can’t-miss tradition that brings the whole community together.

History of the Mitchell Fall Fair
The Mitchell Fall Fair, affectionately known as the “Biggest Little Fair in Ontario,” has been a cherished tradition in Mitchell, Ontario, for over 170 years. Established in 1853, the fair has continually celebrated the region’s rich agricultural heritage and fostered a strong sense of community.
In its early days, the fair provided local farmers and artisans with a platform to showcase their livestock, crops, and handcrafted goods, promoting advancements in agriculture and craftsmanship. As the years progressed, the fair expanded its offerings to include a variety of attractions such as livestock competitions, homecraft displays, midway rides, live entertainment, and demolition derbies, catering to a wide range of interests and age groups.
Today, the Mitchell Fall Fair continues to thrive, drawing visitors from across the region to partake in its diverse events and activities.
