Murillo Fair – RCMP Musical Ride

Oliver Agricultural Society presents RCMP Musical Ride … Oliver Agricultural Society is currently on the hunt for community members to help sponsor the show.

This year will be the 151st anniversary of the RCMP Musical Ride and we are very pleased to be hosting this performance so steeped in Canadian History. This year’s ride will bring 21 Hanoverian horses to perform two shows, on 2 separate days. The equestrian performance – steeped in tradition since 1873 – will exemplify control, timing, and precision for audiences through a choreographed sea of uniformed Mounties dressed in red and riding a jet-black steed.

The Oliver Agricultural Society will be hosting the RCMP Musical Ride July 13 & 14, 2024 at the Oliver Agriculture Society – Murillo fairgrounds,

Gates open at 11 am, pre-show (Thunder Bay Police Pipe Band) at 1 pm, RCMP ride at 2 pm, meet and greet with officers at 3 pm, music and food during and after the event.

Oliver Agricultural Society is currently on the hunt for community members to help sponsor the show.

The Oliver Agricultural Society is a not-for-profit organization run solely by volunteers. The RCMP Musical ride event does not operate with any grant dollars and is completely reliant on the contributions of volunteers, sponsors, and ticket sales to bring this show to Thunder Bay. Our budget for the Musical Ride this year is $28,000.  This budget pays for items like washrooms, security and things like that. We cannot meet our budgetary goals without people and companies like yours. That is why I am writing to you.

Would you consider donating to help sponsor our event? By giving to the Oliver Agriculture Society, you will be helping us to support the agricultural community by providing space for their events and activities on the fairgrounds, including promoting agricultural products and services during the Murillo Fair.

We are open to other ways for the community to support this event if monetary sponsorship is not possible. This could include in kind work, use of machinery, staff from your organization volunteering at the musical ride event and / or donations of products or services that will support the event. In appreciation of your anticipated donation, we would like to offer you space on the grounds for a promotional booth, space for your own

signage to be seen by thousands of guests and your company mentioned in all media related to the event.
