Ontario boosts tourism with $150K for festivals in Hastings-Lennox & Addington

The Ontario government is giving nearly $150,000 to support festivals and events in Hastings–Lennox & Addington through its 2025 Experience Ontario program.

The funding will help four local events expand their activities and attract more visitors. The events receiving support are the Bancroft Rockhound Gemboree, Endless Summer Long Drive Championship at Trillium Wood Golf Club, Just Imagine: 2025 Season in Bancroft by Tweed & Company Theatre, and Back to the Farm 2025 at Mackinnon Brother’s Brewing Co. in Bath.

This investment is part of a larger $20 million province-wide effort to boost local tourism and economic activity by encouraging people to eat in restaurants, stay in local hotels, and shop at local businesses.

“I’m thrilled to see these local festivals and events receiving support through the Experience Ontario program.” said MPP Ric Bresee. “This funding will not only help showcase the incredible talent and culture in Hastings-Lennox & Addington, but also bring economic benefits to our communities by attracting visitors, creating jobs, and supporting our local businesses. These events are a great way to celebrate what makes our region unique, and I’m proud to continue advocating for opportunities that highlight the best of Ontario.”

In total, over 350 festivals and events across Ontario will benefit from the Experience Ontario 2025 program.
