September Chamber Music Festival Sneak Peek!
Prince Edward County Chamber Music Festival is excited to begin our 2025 season with our new artistic director, Paul Marleyn.
We have an excellent line-up for our 2025 season to share with you!
Producing a top-quality classical music festival requires significant financial resources. We rely on ticket sales, shrinking government grants, and the generosity of donors to help us cover the costs of venue rentals, artist fees, and other expenses associated with the festival. Your support ensures that we can continue to offer high-quality performances and attract top-notch artists to Prince Edward County.
Your donations also allow us to sponsor two Schools Concerts, led by The Sultans of Strings and a free outdoor concert with the True North Brass Quintet at Macaulay Heritage Park.
Here’s a peek at the upcoming festival:
Our featured composer is Sri Lankan-born Canadian Dinuk Wijeratne, a JUNO and multi-award-winning composer, conductor, and pianist described by the New York Times as ‘exuberantly creative’. He will be with us Saturday and Sunday of the first weekend.
Friday, September 12, 7:30 p.m. The Kitchen Revue: with Tom Allen, Joel Quarrington and friends! Works by Mozart, Saint-Saens, Martinu and Wijeratne.
Saturday, September 13, 3:00 p.m. The Dinuk Wijeratne Trio
Sunday, September 14 at noon Techniques of Creativity – a workshop for curious learners across disciplines and all ages, with JUNO award winning composer Dinuk Wijeratne.
Sunday, September 14, 3:00 p.m. Popular Tunes from Vienna to the New World with the Swiss Piano Trio and James Campbell
Friday, September 19, 7:30 p.m. The Arion Baroque Ensemble from Montreal
Saturday, September 20, 7:30 p.m. Four Play Cello
Sunday, September 21, 3:00 p.m. Inspired By Love, with the Penderecki String Quartet, Tom Allen, Paul Marleyn and friends.
