Sudbury Blueberry Festival returns this July

Check out iconic events such as the Celebrity Pie Eating Contest

Mark your calendars! The 2025 Sudbury Blueberry Festival takes place on Saturday, July 19 at Red Oak Villa (20 Ste. Anne Rd.).

This event celebrates community, culture and Sudbury’s iconic lowbush blueberry.

The festivities actually begin on Friday, July 18 with the annual Hike Up Blueberry Hill, hosted with the Rainbow Routes Association. This guided trek blends nature, storytelling and fresh blueberry treats.

Festival day is Saturday, July 19, and includes:

  • Blueberry Pancake Breakfast – Unlimited fluffy pancakes with fresh blueberries, served with community spirit.
  • Celebrity Pie Eating Contest – Local personalities battle it out for sweet bragging rights!
  • The Blueberry Bash – Live music, games, entertainment, and unforgettable moments for all ages.
  • Farmers Market & Vendors – Shop local with blueberry-themed goods, from jams and pastries to crafts and preserves.
  • Sud-berry Bear & Sudbrina Bear – Our lovable mascots are back with smiles and hugs for everyone.

New for 2025: The Blueberry Passport

This exciting new program invites festival-goers to collect stamps by visiting participating cafés, shops, and event stops offering blueberry-themed items. More stamps mean more chances to win a Grand Prize at the Blueberry Bash.

Want to be a Passport stop? Feature a blueberry item and boost foot traffic while celebrating with the community.

To get involved as a sponsor, vendor, volunteer or passport partner, phone 705-562-7299 or email acloss@autumnwood.ca.
