“Tapestry of Art and Music”, is a free, one-day, musically themed, springtime, fundraiser, art show and sale presented by Headwaters Arts at the Alton Mill Arts Centre in Alton.
The afternoon festivities in the outdoor arts space, under the tented roof over the historic, Annex courtyard, include an outdoor gallery set up with artwork for the unveiling of a mosaic tapestry that showcases a curated exhibition of over 100+, 6” x 6” canvas masterpieces created by local Caledon/Ontario artists and features musical entertainment by the 30-40 singers from a Choir for Children and Youth. It is a celebration of the coming of summer and the chance to view and purchase original works of art created by so many talented Headwaters Arts/Ontario artists/students and enjoy live music. Headwaters Arts reaches out to artists across Ontario and high school students from Caledon and Headwaters Region via a call, to participate and provides all with a free canvas and asks them to donate their time and talent to create works for this tapestry wall of beautiful art.
