Theatre on the Ridge – Opening Season

Rehearsals are well underway for the first production of the season, Two Minutes to Midnight, opening next Thursday, June 12th. This chaotic and hilarious comedy is a thought-provoking start to the season in this year of political climate change.
Introducing our full-time Tourism & Information Services Coordinator for this season:
We’re so pleased that Christopher Williams (copied here) has taken on a full time contract as the Tourism & Information Services Coordinator for Theatre on the Ridge this summer! It’s a very exciting step to have someone full time dedicated to these projects. He and I will be working together until the end of June and then he’ll take the reins for July and August when I’ll be involved full time in a theatre production myself here in the Peterborough area. Chris brings much relevant experience, as well as the passion and curiousity that are also essential for the role!
Should you need to be in touch with us, please be sure to cc both the Theatre on the Ridge email and Christopher’s email as well:

Theatre on the Ridge Season & Programming Updates:
  • We have brought on a few new partners for our Patron Perks program to continue to encourage people to come from away and stay for more than a day!: Great Blue Heron Hotel, George Stanley Inn and Redman’s Antiques.
  • We also have a beautiful Summer Festival Visitor’s Guide this season – thanks to the graphic and design work of Big World Creative. You’ll find hard copies of the booklet in and around Scugog Township at local businesses and organizations, however due to popular demand (those copies are running out), it’s also now available on our website as well: https://theatreontheridge.ca/summer-festival-visitor-guide/.
  • Your Story Our Stage programming: walks, talks and workshops offered throughout the season will bring the experience of each play to life for patrons before the curtain opens. You can see this planned programming on p. 12 of the festival booklet. It’s also found on our website.
