Waterfront BIA Inaugural Water Fall Festival 2025
A new festival is coming to Toronto and it’s kicking off next month.
The Waterfront Business Improvement Association (BIA) announced Thursday it will bring its inaugural Water/Fall Festival to the city.
The free celebration will host two action-packed weekends for locals and visitors to “experience Toronto’s waterfront in a new way.” It will run Sept. 27 and 28, along with Oct. 4 and 5.
“Framed by the colour of changing leaves and crisp autumn air, the Water/Fall Festival will be a way to rediscover the energy of the waterfront through food, arts and cultural experiences and live entertainment,” says Tim Kocur, executive director at the Waterfront BIA.
The festival will include “a trail of markets, events and art exhibits across a two-kilometre stretch of Queens Quay,” according to Kocur.
Taking place at popular waterfront destinations, including Toronto Music Garden, Harbourfront Centre, HTO Park and Spadina Pier, the celebration will feature fall-inspired activities, interactive public art installations, live music and dance performances, boat tours and more.
Water/Fall Festival will launch with a new public art performance by international renowned artist Melissa McGill and spotlight over 100 colourfully choreographed canoes paddling across the city’s waterfront.
In early September, more details of the festival will be announced. The celebration is also presented by a coalition of waterfront partners, including PortsToronto, Billy Bishop Airport and more.
And as we look ahead into fall, you may also want to add Canada’s largest book and magazine festival to your September plans. Now in its 36th year, The Word On The Street Toronto runs Sept. 27 and 28 at David Pecaut Square as a “national celebration of literacy and Canadian writing.”
To fill October up with fun, check out Toronto’s inaugural All Things Go, taking place at Budweiser Stage on Oct. 4 and 5. The festival will feature a star-studded lineup, including performances from Reneé Rapp, Kacey Musgraves, Remi Wolf and Role Model.
The two-day festival will feature 16 artists, including special guests Charlotte Cardin, Noah Cyrus, Ravyn Lenae, Chelsea Cutler, Blondshell, Valley and Joy Oladokun. Tickets to All Things Go can be purchased online
