When will the Guelph.Beer Bus hit the road in 2024?

Tour features 6 stops including Royal City Brewing Co., Sleeman and Wellington Brewery

The Guelph.Beer Bus returns April 13, making the rounds of local breweries one Saturday a month until November.

The free bus tour runs from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., shuttling beer lovers to “unique brew pubs, beer halls and tap rooms,” reads the media release issued by Wellington Brewery.

People love the Guelph.Beer Bus because it’s a free, inclusive, and fun way to discover your new favourite brewery” Cam Fryer, Owner of Royal City Brewing, said.

The tour includes six brewery stops: Royal City, Sleeman, Fixed Gear, Brothers and Wellington, along with Wrinkly Bear Brewing, which recently relocated to Guelph.

The shuttle, created as a collaboration between local brewers, ran for the first time in 2019.

It has become a popular attraction and was even recognized as Culinary Tourism Event of the Year at the Ontario Tourism Summit, according to the media release.

Projects like the Guelph.Beer Bus have provided a unique opportunity for Guelph’s local breweries to work together and build something truly special” Brad McInerney, marketing director at Wellington Brewery, said.

The bus provides a safe and accessible way to visit multiple places in one day.

As part of each tour, breweries will offer their year-round classics as well as small-batch specialty beers.

Many will have pop-up food vendors, food trucks and tap room activities such as live music and DJs, photo booths and more.

The group will also be accepting donations to help support BIPOC students working in the beer industry.

Catch the Guelph.Beer Bus on April 13, May 11, June 15, July 13, Aug. 17, Sept. 14, Oct. 12 and November 16.
