Windsor Symphony Orchestra Announces Music for Health and Summer Concert Series Support from Caesars Windsor Cares

Windsor, ON – The Windsor Symphony Orchestra announces a donation of $15,000 from Caesars Windsor Cares in support of their Music for Health program and the Summer Concert Series.

The outdoor Summer Concert Series begin today and are free to the Public. These concerts aim to entertain and create lasting memories, uniting the community through the universal language of music.

The Music for Health program brings a quartet to long-term care facilities, retirement homes, hospitals and more to support the health and wellness of homebound seniors. This program is based upon the growing body of evidence that shows the positive impact music has on mental, emotional, and even physical health. Residents can request songs that have special meaning for them and share memories or stories that are elicited by the music.

“Having the residents choose the music from a list engages them in the concert at a higher level, even stimulates conversations about the music and residents’ memories they have with music.”
– Becky Ng, WSO Education and Outreach Manager.

“Caesars Windsor is proud to be a long-time supporter of the creative spirit of our region. We are proud to partner with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra in maintaining our culturally rich city with a donation to their Music for Health program and to be the presenter of the WSO’s Summer Concert Series.” – Kevin Laforet, President, Caesars Windsor.

The WSO announced this support with a Media Event at Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church on July 18, 2025. Media were welcome to record the announcement, cheque presentation, Music for Health concert, and engage in a media scrum.
