Poised to be the premier festival site of the 2024 World Rowing competition, Rennie Park is located adjacent to the finish area of the Henley Rowing Course in the downtown area of Port Dalhousie. VIP & GOLD spectator seating will also be available at this location.
Welcome to St. Catharines
St. Catharines is delighted to be hosting the 2024 World Rowing Senior, Under 23 and Under 19 Championships. We are excited to be able to showcase to all our visitors, coaches, and athletes the abundance of activities that will be available during your stay. Our region is home to more than 100 estate and boutique wineries, over 45 golf courses, gaming adventures at two casinos, world class theatre, and endless dining, arts, and entertainment options. Niagara Falls, ranked as one of the most popular bucket-list destinations in the world, is only a 20-minute drive away.
Our Organizing Committee has had a very busy year of capital improvements. This summer we opened the doors of the Neil Campbell Rowing Centre. Built on the foundation of being environmentally sustainable, the building minimizes energy consumption by featuring on-site generation from a solar-powered roofing system that produces enough renewable energy to support the entire facility. Finished in time to host the 2022 Canada Games, the new Rowing Centre incorporates innovative designs including heavy Canadian made timber structures, Canadian-made glue laminate and cross-laminated timber products. The Centre is fully accessible, with universal change rooms, fitness rooms (with rowing ergometers and other exercise equipment), and a multipurpose training, event and administrative/support space. In addition, new victory ceremony docks are currently being installed and engineering and designs for the refurbished finish tower are currently being completed along with designs for a new aligners hut. All this work is being done to give the athletes the best experience possible for racing.
The Volunteers are ready and waiting to be able to host this event in 2024. After completing the Canada Games in 2022, The 139th Royal Canadian Henley Regatta and the CSSRA Championships in 2023, our Volunteers are excited to welcome the World back to St. Catharines in 2024.
