YES Theatre invites patrons to purchase ‘Believers Pass’ before season unveiling

Pass offers deep discounts on local theatre, with the catch that you don’t know what you’re purchasing tickets for

In a push to make theatre and art in Sudbury more widely accessible, revitalize the downtown and make art a pillar of society, YES is launching the 2026 Season with an entirely refurbished ticketing model.

The launch starts with the Believers Pass, which has become an important part of YES’s legacy. The pass typically gave patrons a 30 per cent discount on the entire season, but becoming a pass holder is more affordable than ever with a 45 per cent discount on the entire season.

A Believers Pass is a unique ticket model pioneered at YES Theatre and continues to be a way to offer world class theatre at an affordable rate.

The only twist? You don’t know what shows you’re buying tickets for until the Season Launch in October.

The 2026 Believers Pass – for those who believe wholeheartedly in the idea that a happy life and a great sense of community requires a cheese board of theatre,” said YES Theatre artistic director Alessandro Costantini, in a press release.

This pass is for the folks who care deeply about our work, our artists, and the vision of making Sudbury a cultural destination.

The Believers Pass is very unique to YES Theatre. We were the first company in the country to try something like this…buying the season pass before announcing the shows.

The intent of the Believers Pass was for us to further our aim of building a meaningful relationship between the community and the theatre. A believers pass means you care about our work, you care about the financial and artistic stability of the organization and recognize that we need this core group of people to anchor things.

You’re the core audience – the first to book tickets – the first to bring your friends and family along – you’re long time supporters. You really matter. As a not-for-profit theatre company, we must react and respond to what’s happening in front of us.

Downtown is struggling, and so are citizens. Theatre is an expensive venture. We’ve taken our budget from $600,000 to $3 million in just three seasons. The growth is mammoth. Building a community of hungry-theatre-loving people is no small task in a town like this.

It’s an uphill battle and we are happy to be inching closer and closer towards that goal. But there will need to be radical acts to ensure that the theatre really is reflective of the whole community, and accessible to everyone. We’re taking some big steps this season to ensure accessibility for all.”

Believers Passes are $199 +tax for adults and $139 +tax for youths (or seven shows for the price of three).

They can be purchased for one month only between August 19 and September 16. Believers pass holders get a whole host of additional benefits including subscriber only events, discounts on singles tickets and concessions and more. Only 2,000 passes are available this season.
